Shame the - Stereo DSD & MCH 5.1 DSD tracks can not be incorporated on the one blu-ray disc. Hopoefully, something to consider if/when the specification of Profile 3 (Audio Only) is drawn up.
From the profile section of Blu-ray wiki entry: Profile 3.0 is a separate profile for audio discs, similar to the difference between DVD-Video and DVD-Audio. No BD-Audio releases have so far been announced.
Personally I prefer Linear 24/192 PCM over DTS HD Master Audio

I don't think there's any rule or technical constraint that restricts that. It only wouldn't be compatible with any mandatory or recommended spec, so no player could do anything with it, except perhaps a high-end PC.
@ Morten: your release is getting press coverage now.

Not here but at www.audaud.com there is a comparison which pretty much comes to the conclusions that many here came to about DVD-A: pretty much indistinguishable from SACD but lacks the compatibility with vast majority of playback equipment that a hybrid SACD gives...

I stumbled upon the same. What triggered me in particular was this conclusion:
"what does this prove? I feel it supports my contention that multichannel SACD retains its status as the perfect format for hi-res surround sound, and there is absolutely no reason to switch to an entirely new format of audio-only Blu-ray! The SACD disc offers the advantages of an optional stereo version and playback on any CD player anywhere, whereas Blu-ray requires (at present anyway) a video display to navigate, a long delay before hearing anything, and no playback on CD players."

Unfortunately the record companies don't agree with that assesment. They are getting the ball rolling on Blu-ray Disc releases of albums and you should start seeing them over the course of the next year or two according to a friend at SonyBMG.

"Dual disc" album ?!? :-) I know the word "dual" has different meanings, but reviewing a hi-rez item to write "dual disc" is a bit disinformating... "Dual disc" is a dead format since many years!

It is a dual disk set in the sense there are 2 discs in the box: one Blue Ray, and one Hybrid SACD. Nothing to do with the dead format you talk about
