That's why we have the BIS thread! In fact the BIS and PentaTone threads are the ones I most look forward to reading!
Now (at the risk of hijacking this thread) maybe we could have a Channel thread?!
I was never a Rachel Podger fan until I got that incredible La Stravaganza recording!

Is this (the Podger Vivaldi) done as a modern or a baroque performance? Is it tuned to A=440?

That price is a complete misunderstanding. BIS SACD:s cost exactly as much in the US as a RBCD, and that would be under 20 Dollars. I have made a reclamation to my distributor, who is equally shocked. Amazon will change this within the next 24 hours.

Qualiton, BIS' U.S. distributor, does not list this recording on its website. Could this be why Amazon and CDUniverse are quoting a high price for the recording?

Rachel plays only on baroque violin with gut strings and baroque bow. I cannot remember the exact tuning but certainly not 440.

The SACD is on order.
The price has been fixed - within the 24 hours I promised. The title is still wrong - this for sure doesn't include the 2005 catalogue, but the pic is right, so I presume the contents is OK, too.
