At eclassical.com the sampling frequency for most of the 24-bit albums is stated under "Orig. sample rate" in a table left to the cover picture.

However, yesterday I've downloaded an album of "Mirare" at eclassical. And the downloaded masterfiles had other freq than stated on eclassical (I would have never noticed without the previous discussion):

Road 66 (Shani Diluka)
is sold as 96 kHz
but download is 44,1 kHz

Then I checked my other downloads of Mirare and harmonia mundi:

Bach: In tempore Nativitatis (Ricercar Consort)
is sold as 44,1 kHz
but download is 88,2 kHz

Puts: To Touch the Sky (Conspirare)
is sold as 96 kHz
but download is 88,2 kHz

The Phoenix Rising (Stile Antico)
is sold as 96 kHz
but download is 88,2 kHz

The samplingfreq should be mislabelled by mistake, as the downloads match the frequency information at the qobuz website.
Robert, you should fix that. Just to avoid irritations. Or whom may I contact for this issue at eclassical.com?

yours, Thomian

Thank you for that.

I am copying your post to the man in eClassical, who is in charge, and, for certain, if we have mislabelled something upwards, that I consider to be a fraud, albeit involuntary, since we print what info we get.

Thanks very much for letting me know.

We will do something about this, as we cannot belong to the gang that do these things knowingly.

Best - Robert

Hi Robert,

First, congrats on the Grammy! I was happy to see both of the local orchestras recognized, and even happier that they'll both be playing again soon!

Second, a few weeks ago I heard Pekka Kuusisto play Vasks' "Vox Amoris" with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. It was one of the highlights of the season, for sure.

I only see one recording of this piece available, which I'll likely download tonight, but I noted that BIS has a couple Vasks recordings that look very good, and was wondering if you've heard Vox Amoris and whether BIS might record it?

Thanks for all your efforts!

Casey

Well, thank you, and, for sure, both the Minnesotans and Osmo are worth it! Especially the Sibelius 4th is Amazing.

No, I haven't heard that piece, but I both know Vasks personally and his music and I am very eager to do more.

Robert, it would be terrific if you could. Fingers crossed.

I ordered three new BIS SACDs from a certain UK outfit, and the one I really wanted, Pettersson's 9th is not yet available. Grr...

I placed an order with my usual classical mail order service on Dec 11, 2013 which included a bunch of BIS SACD's (and RBCD's) among other things. Everything on the order has long since been delivered EXCEPT a copy of the Pettersson 6th Sym. That title is still on back order (going on 8 weeks now). Frustrated.

It will be worth the wait Krisjan!
Whether you like it or not (and I loved it), it is one of most intense hours of music I've ever heard, it completely blew me away.

Well, I am sorry, but what can I do?

Within a not too long time we will start selling from our homepage.
in the meantime, this was a Dec release, which means that we had stock from October, and that's when we send out complimentary PR copies to our distributors. When THEY release them is up to them. Nothing I can do, really.

Worth Waiting For, though.

Robert

Yes, I already have the CPO recording of the 6th (as well as all the other CPO and BIS releases of his music) so I know this work and his music. Very much looking forward to the BIS recording.
