I've just been over to Yahoo! Answers. Unfortunately, there is a lot of mis-information going on. It's places like this that only create more misunderstanding of the formats like SACD and DVD-Audio. I tried to set the record straight, but could only post comments. Yahoo! closes the topics to newer answers after a time. Pretty sad really.

The information on most of the "user-contributor" websites is written with an agenda, not with any objectivity. Anyone and everyone with an opinion can post their thoughts, and present them as authoritative viewpoint. Thus, 99.9% of the reference material found on websites is garbage.

What's really entertaining is to read many of the college-level research papers that used various Internet sources as their references. The conclusions drawn can be absolutely breath-taking in their total wrongness :-)

I think we need to put together a FAQ for educating anyone that comes along and sees this site.

They clearly show very poor judgement of sources. If the students instead spendt some time in the library they would find much more authorative sources (books, peer reviewed papers), but that would involve too much more effort on their part.

But hey, we are the copy/paste/edit/give-no-credit generation.
