Something wonderful came in the mail recently: A CD mailer from the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Inside it said was my "appreciation gift" from the BSO for my support as a "Friend of the Boston Symphony Orchestra".
Lo and behold what did I find but a new multichannel SACD recorded by John Newton of SoundMirror! This was packaged in a round cornered Super Audio Jewel Box. It is a recording is of performances by several BSO principals of quintets by Mozart. My wife and I heard the live performance last spring. It is a wonderful sounding recording. The label is "BSO Classics". Does anyone know more about this? Was this the first of several new BSO SACDs ? (I hope so, oh do I ever hope!)

"About Us is the page where you write more detail about your company and business. Focus on your strongest points, whether history, licenses, or awards."
Obviously a work in progress.

Obviously not much on that website that is a work in progress about the wonderful new SACD I received not as a friend (person who contributes money), but as a patron which makes me think all subscribers must have received this as a gift (wow). My next concert is this coming Saturday and I will ask my seat neighbors if they received it also.

Bruce, can you find out if they have any for sale? Or better still, whether you can get a spare copy for me?

I just ordered it. :-) Along with a cap, and the refrigerator magnet pad. :-) I hope the SACD sounds good and that this is the beginning of a new series of orchestra-produced, private-label SACDs we can look forward to.
