I think the 4,000th SACD release will pass almost unnoticed.

The most likely classical candidates are Mahler's Sixth, Dvorak's New World Symphony, Rachmaninov's Piano Concertos Nos 2 and 3, and Vivaldi's Four Seasons. All eagerly awaited. Who needs Brahms, Schumann, Bruckner, Haydn, Schubert, Nielsen, Delibes, Strauss, Liszt, Weber, Mozart, Janacek, Kodaly...?

I'd lay bets on it being a Japanese pop disc...

Maybe a Pentatone, Channel Classics, Harmonia Mundi, or Telarc....or the ubiquitous Japanese Pop SACD????
I am just happy to see the number of releases keeps growing!!

I've found at least another three Mahler symphonies coming over the next few months. Maybe I should go with one of these ...
