I just purchased this one... thanks to the reviewer. I have made a preliminary adjustment with the Phanton Imaging. I also use a Sound Meter as well. I have set all the settings on my SACD player to 0 and used the 6 channel input on the amp to balance it. I do not have a subwoofer.

My SACD player is a basic SCD-XE670 by Sony. Retail was $200 Cndn. I got it at a pawn shop for $50. Excellent condition. The settings in the player are a little tricky. For speakers I have Paradigm 5se for the front, a mid-size Paradigm center channel and a pair of Paradigm micros for the rears. I live in an apartment so my surround speakers are closer to the ceiling and behind the listenere as the living room is too wide to place the speakers on the side walls.

The disc has certainly made an impressive difference opening up the sound field and improving dynamic range.

Any suggestions for setting up the audio are welcome. Tell me how you made out setting up your system. I do plan to buy another player down the road as the format grows and I can save some cash.

Congratulations: Ultra-high fidelity for $50! Please don't tell me you got your Paradigms at a yard-sale.... By the bye, where in Eastern Canada are you? (e-mail if you like).

I actually live in Moncton, New Brunswick and no, I bought my Paradigms about 10 years ago for $500. It's good to see someone else in this region who actually knows something about SACD. I still want to buy a higher end SACD player later on. As more titles come out and my collection grows. Then it will be worth it!

I just received this disk and it is great for calibrating my 5.1 surround setup!

Previously I have calibrated using SPL meter, the recievers internal pink noise, and a CD with low frequencies tones.

The Pentatone SACD has pink noise on the subwoofer channel that initially gives different results than the above.

Time to investigate some more.

This disc is also known as Sampler Vol. 2, the cover of which is shown here:

http://www.amazon.com/Super-Audio-Sampler-Hybrid-SACD/dp/B0000UJL32/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1209062300&sr=1-17

Although they got the track listing wrong on that entry (No Corelli shown, even though the cover depicts the Corelli disc in the collage).

At first I thought I had been sent the wrong disc, but the outer sleeve and the inner disc just have two different covers even though the tracklist on the back is the same.

Pentatone's own site shows the "Vol. 2" artwork. Anybody know the reason for the different covers?

The original cover was an attempt to avoid the usual "sampler design". The result was that we sold a lot less than of sampler vol 1. Therefore we repackaged the item.

best, Pentaman
