Greeting From Milan and the Top Audio hi-fi show.
I attended last year for the first time although we have had wonderful distribution in Italy for years. During that visit I met the publisher of Audiophile Sound Magazine - I happened to be carrying a Korg MR1000 with some unreleased IsoMike sessions.
To make along story short, the 2008 show issue (AUD079) magazine has a feature article about isoMike, and includes a special IsoMike SA-CD with each of the copies.
Are there any SA-CD.net folks at the show?
Ray
BTW the latest Fry Street release is being replicated as we speak.

I'm looking forward to this. But even more than this, I'm curious about that Academy of St.-Martin-in-the-Fields disc mentioned a year ago?
Thanks, Bret

While waiting for a long computer process to run, I've been listening on broadband to FSQ's Shostakovich Quartet no. 8... and like a good anglo male, I am struggling to hold back incipient tears of russian melancholy. I have numerous recordings of this piece -- but I'd crawl across broken glass to own a copy of this FSQ performance!

Recordings already "in the can" along with some notes about status of editing and completion
Upcoming already recorded projects include (in more-or-less order of future release starting this Fall. All of these are SA-CD 4.0/Hybrid
The Fry Street Quartet - Beethoven Quartet in C minor OP.18,No.4 and Quartet in B-flat major Op.130 with the Grosse Fuge, Op.133
Rocky Mountain Drums New title High Altitude Drums. - with The Blue Knights and The Troopers, Drum and Bugle Corps. Including a range of works from Shostakovich to "Amazing Grace".
Robert Silverman - a 6 disc set of the Mozart Piano Sonatas.
The Amelia Trio - Rachmaninoff Piano Trios, the large and the small.
The Academy of St. Martins in the Fields, Chamber Ensemble - Octets of Enescu and Mendelssohn.
Vicktor Uzur, Solo Cello - Various Works
Stephen Lyman, Solo acoustic guitar - various works.
As I mentioned the FSQ Beethoven is at the replication plant now. Silverman is nearing editing completion. High Altitude Drums is edited and we are working on graphics. The Academy of St Martin's in the Fields is in editing, but given the rather slow process of editing by remote, this is taking a bit of time. The Amelia Trio is within editing. Dr. Uzur is in editing. Work has also been done with Stephen Lyman.
We found ourselves with lots of projects recorded and now we are concentrating on getting them completed. There is considerable editing completed on all the projects, but it isn't always easy to predict which one will finish next.
I will have some new stuff to play for the RMAF in Denver. We plan on having the FSQ release at the show and perhaps one more.
I have forwarded the request about the Shostokovitch and the broken glass crawling :)
Here are links to recent magazine articles in the Italian Magazine Audiophile Sound
Issue 077 http://www.isomike.com/pdf/AudiophileSound_vol9_num77.pdf
Issue 079 http://www.isomike.com/pdf/AudiophileSound_vol9_num79.pdf
The disc that was included in issue 079 will soon be available as IsoMike test disc IsoMike 2008 - The discs are on the way to us, but we need to get cases and a booklet ready.
All the best!

That is one seriously amazing combination of works. I heard the Enescu on the radio from (I think) the Verbier festival last year and it absolutely blew me away! This I am eagerly awaiting even more than most IsoMike recordings...
