Pentatone has recently released an impressive album of Shostakovich's Seventh Symphony "Leningrad" with the Russian National Orchestra and Paavo Järvi. The disc got many critically acclaimed reviews: BBC Music Magazine gave three stars (Performance) and four stars (Recording). Gramophone wrote an interesting article about the disc.
So, when we will get the missing releases? We have the following symphonies in the series:
- Symphonies Nos. 1 & 6 (Jurowski)
- Symphonies Nos. 5 & 9 (Kreizberg)
- Symphony No. 7 "Leningrad" (Järvi)
- Symphony No. 8 "Stalingrad" (Berglund)
- Symphony No. 11 (Pletnev)
- Symphony No. 15 (Pletnev)
There aren't Symphonies Nos. 2, 3, 4, 10, 12, 13 & 14.
