Naxos has published two discs of the most famous movie themes (Film Music Classics). The collection contains for example the next themes: Forrest Gump, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond and Schindler's List. The performers are from the highest levels: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra & conductor Carl Davis. It would be a great pleasure to have these fascinating discs on one single Blu-ray Audio with the surround sound. If we have those movies, we have probably also a Blu-ray player. What do you think?

I would not consider most of these particular most famous Movie themes to be 'great, The great famous themes are by the older composers Korngold, Steiner Tiomkin Herrman Newman, Bernstein ,Jarre , Morricone etc.

Yes, I know that. But these themes are very popular among the modern audiences.

Try these: Sounds of Hollywood - Fraas and Sounds of Hollywood, Volume 2
I heard these albums some days ago - the arrangements aren't very impressive. The orchestrations aren't so "Romantic" than here: sometimes the impression is almost like a "virtual orchestra", the highest emotions are gone. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra offers a colorful view to the scores.

Chariots of Fire as a movie was one of the weaker ones of the bunch

My initial reaction, Luukas, was similar but as the band played on they got increasingly better and more involving.
Don't overlook the TELARC titles I listed above in Post #4. Most are still affordable and with the exception of the BIG Picture (from a 16/44.1 digital master)......all are DSD recorded.
I do agree that over the years Naxos has recorded a ton of quality movie music and should issue an 'extended' compilation on BD~A.

Yes it would, but as with DVD-A and SACD, Naxos does not have a substantial release policy for BD-A.
They have released around 35 discs since 2011, which is of course just a tiny fraction of their new recordings released on CD during that time.
