Although I have several CD’s of this work It has been at least ten years since I played a recording of Scheherazade on my system, just tired of it.
Well, the other day I came across this Youtube video played by this youth orchestra, the name was strange so I clicked on the link and believe it or not I ended up listening to the entire performance, these kids really did a superb job.

Ok, I am fired up, would anyone recommend a state of art SACD of this work, not interested in Reiner CSO, I have that one, is there any real fine SACD of this work, there is the recent Chandos release highly criticized for not having a filler, how is the SQ on that? any other SACD?

The Penguin guide to the 1000 finest Classical recordings considers the Reiner SACD version to be the best.
