Interesting to see Denon likely beat Oppo to it (by a few weeks). Despite the probable price difference, I think Oppo will feel urged to get DVD-Audio to work in their set too (perhaps that's actually the reason for the slight delay beyond the 2008 holiday season).

Hi Seventh Taylor,
The Sony site is a bit misleading then as the "features" page says:
"Multiple format and codec support - DVD / CD / Video CD / SACD / mp3 / JPEG playback capability"
They generally don't mention SACD capability if they only mean the CD layer of hybrids.
Like you say, the "technical specifications" say it doesn't as does the manual.

I think you're right. Funny I missed that one. It does seem to fit in with the DAV-DZ260, DZ560, DZ660 and DZ860W reported earlier this year.
