Just spent the last 2 days immersing myself in this wonderful Deluxe Edition.

The music is sterling, the 4 disc set, all good, DVD, Blu Ray, and two RBCD's one the original Demo tracks, the other the polished edit finished disc.

Listened for comparison DVD~A, one option in 5.1, DTS and the Blu Ray, 2 options in 5.1 DTS and my preference the LPCM 5.1.

The media book was very deep, in story, and I loved it.

Great, making of, video on the DVD.

This is fresh and new Rock music at a very peak of perfection, delivered in a very engaging package.

There is a stand alone Pure Audio BDA.

Is it the same as the one in this box set?

I'm wondering if I really need all of this.

It (single BDA) works for me :)

I cannot see Wilson releasing two different versions of the BD~A. I ordered the DVD/RBCD thinking the DVD was hi res 5.1 but it's only DTS 5.1 so I double dipped and ordered the stand a lone BD~A.

If I want a book, I'll go to the library ;-D!

Thanks all!

I came across the stand alone BDA in a local shop, but didn't see the box set. I saw the Tangerine Dream Box set, though. Has anyone had a chance to listen to TD yet?

My 4 TG SHM~SACDs are en route from CDJapan. Wasn't aware of the box set.

Brett, did you purchase the SHM~SACDs, yet?

No, I didn't buy any yet. I initially planned to get one at a time, but yesterday I saw there was a small box set, which nicely holds all 4 discs. I don't think there are any extras in it. It costs the same as 4 individual discs. The recent Beach Boys SHM-SACDs all came in a similar small box.

I did read a recent review (don't know where) of Ricochet (SHM~SACD) and it was VERY positive, Wasn't aware the 4 discs came in a box set (Mark would jump on this 'muy pronto').

If you're a TG fan, I'd go for the box set while it's still available Brett (but that is NOT a command).

Thanks for the nudge! ;-) I'll probably end up doing that. Japanese are really into packaging as you know.

They really love all those bells and whistles. Ring-a-ding ding!

Which reminds me.....HBO is doing a two part documentary on Francis Albert Sinatra celebrating what would've been his 100th birthday next week.
