Incredible (that something like this gets released on SACD). The world is a wondrous place.

yea, amazing indeed, great band; but is it credible that it is in fact a SACD? If you follow the link to amazon, there is no indication that it concerns a SACD.

I own the disc and submitted the listing. I can confirm that it is indeed an SACD.

Zeus/Polly, here's a higher-resolution image of the front cover than the one I submitted.

And they just keep playing and playing!

I, too, may just have to get this, for the good old times. Saw them in NYC about a decade ago. Still going strong.

Thanks, Simon V.

Because (as you point out) the Amazon listing is so sparse, I didn't realize it was an SACD until it arrived: I was just trying to add another volume to my Plastic People collection on RBCD, something that is becoming increasingly hard now I no longer live in the Czech Republic. I bought my copy from the one Amazon seller currently listed, so if you buy from them you should get the SACD rather than any previous RBCD incarnation.

The sound is amazingly good considering the illicit recording conditions, but then the technical skills available in Czechoslovakia at that time were very high ("licit" Supraphon recordings of that vintage are excellent), certainly much higher than in the Soviet Union.

You're welcome. Glad there are some other Plastic People people out there.
