I don't know if I can give a decisive answer to this. I listen to many genres of music so to make a definitive choice is very difficult.
From a classical perspective I am no expert on conductors (although I greatly respect and enjoy much of Karajans work), orchestras or their interpretation of a particular piece but for pure SACD sound quality I would recommend listening to Kitajenko Shostakovich: Symphonies Nos. 1-15 - Kitajenko.

Although this is a DVD-Audio, insofar as the extraordinary quality of the sound recording, I would highly recommend it.

After listening to the BIS recording of Shostakovich's 11th Symphony, I'd say it's a contender for orchestral music.

It would be this one. Stunning organ sound, great music too.
Bach: Organ Sonatas BWV 525-530 - Christopher Wrench

I would also recommend this Mozart set. If you are looking for an intimate sound, this is not the set for you. This is still great chamber music, and the cathedral acoustic does not detract from the fine sound recording and excellent interpretation.

Yep. Got the Elis and Tom DVD-A recently and soundwise it blows away the RBCD version. Great disc!
