Amazon has terminated this site's affiliation with amazon.co.jp. No reason was given. I can only assume that I ran foul of some clause in their ever-changing operating agreement ... but since I can't read Japanese I'm none the wiser. After eleven years I would have thought some consideration was warranted, but such is life. I can only urge everyone to now use CDJapan instead by following the tagged links from this site (not visiting the site directly for which SA-CD.net receives no benefit). I have been well pleased with CDJapan's product range, professionalism and service.

I'll still buy at amazon.co.jp since they have the marketplace and IMO more accurate information.

I would have expected nothing less from you.

Well, it is a free market.

I do still buy from Amazon.com and Amazon.uk, but I also shop at mdt.co.uk. It's whatever shop works best for me that makes the most sense.

Besides, I don't think I've ever advertised exactly where I've gone to get something outside of that...it's always been "I got that from another site" or some such.

Wonder if it has anything to do with this:

But the other Amazon links are OK? Hmm, that is odd.

Amazon Japan probably has cut back on all affiliated arrangements. They're probably the weakest link in the Amazon chain. Any money lost to an affiliate isn't worth it to them.

With 132,600 employees, imagine the impact when the minimum wage is hiked (In San Francisco I believe the minimum wage is now $15 per hour)?

NEVER ordered from Amazon.co.jp. I've been 'faithful' to CDJapan all these SACD buying years and have never once regretted it. With my bonus points, just procured 2 upcoming SHM~SACDs for $36US each delivered.

But where are the Esoterics? Till now I have not found any source that is willing to sell me for 31USD per disc.

I doubt this has anything to do with it, judging by the "extreme prejudice" of the termination I received. This site has contributed (literally) millions in revenue to Amazon over the years ... which has been mutually beneficial ... so it's unlikely they would want to kill off such relationships generally.

I'm not going to speculate further and have moved on.
