Discussion: Beethoven: 9 Symphonies - Kegel

At least someone seems to recognize the potential of BD-A (symphony cycle in stereo and multichannel in high resolution on only 2 discs).
If only we could be sure about performance and sound quality before buying ... The back cover at amazon.de already shows some errors.

These are 1982-83 digital stereo recordings, with an artificial multichannel mix added for the reissue. What has been said about the SACD release is probably also valid for the BD-A version (released by the same company, Delta Music)

Beethoven: Die 9 Sinfonien - Dresdner Philharmonie/Kegel (the review and the discussion)

The SACD disc page says analogue but the 1980s LPs state "digital recording"

Maybe Universal will release the Karajan 1960's Beethoven set in a similar fashion
