Sony's up-coming Blu Ray releases. These are Pure Audio Blu Rays and has nothing to do with HFPA.

By the summer, Sony Music plans to release an additional 20 titles, which we hope will rely on multichannel tracks and stereo-sampled even higher (up to 192kHz / 24-bit, just like some suggestions label 2L, which also includes the packaging SACDs).

Below is a list of upcoming titles:

- Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue
- Michael Jackson - Thriller
- Billie Holiday - Lady In Satin
- Billy Joel - The Stranger
- Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison
- Janis Joplin - Pearl
- Carole King - Tapestry
- Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited
- Herbie Hancock - Headhunters
- Dave Brubeck - Time Out
- Elvis Presley - Elvis Presley
- Lou Reed - Transformer
- The Clash - London Calling
- Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual
- Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble - Texas Flood
- Sly & The Family Stone - There's A Riot Goin 'On
- Pearl Jam - Ten
- James Taylor - JT
- Peter Tosh - Legalize It
- Patti Smith - Horses

This list is the epitome of outside-the-box. Brilliant A&R work.

Wonder if they'll finally release Thriller in 5.1? Would be phenom! Janis Joplin PEARL, Patty Smith HORSES, Lou Reed's classic Transformer, Pearl Jam TEN and Peter Tosh Legalize It are new titles to hi res physical disc.

If Sony's BD~V releases are any indication of the quality we can expect, we're in for a treat!

How far can Warner's BD~A launch be?

Wow, fred, never realized it. And in multichannel, as well. Thanks for the link but cannot speak Italiano even though I'm a paisan.

Am currently playing Audio Fidelity's excellent SACD compilation Reggae in HiFi........for that Rastaman vibe!

the Pete Tosh isn't bad, fidelity is better than I was expecting and the surround mix is inconsistent but still fun at times and always active and when the mix is good it's really engaging and well worth it. the essence of the Italian article link is pretty rmuch what Thomas posted already. I don't know that AF reggae SACD, sounds great, thanks for the info, I must check it out!

That's the link I got it from but wasn't in English and wasn't sure about posting links not related to SACD.
