Spirit in the Sky, Get it On, Schools Out, China Grove, Hot Blooded, and Can't Get Enough of your Love make this disc well worth owning.

Some of the tracks like Wild Thing I can take or leave but the ones mentioned previously are more than enough to make this a disc worth owning

Odd disc for my SACD player it is stereo not multi-channel, but to get it to play I have to go to my MC format ? So put it in my PC and up convert to 7.2 with my receiver and it sounds good. The Various Artists is always nice to have good selection of songs. One other thing is after the Doobie Bros. China Grove the disc next has Aqualung? When it is Hot Blooded all tracks are their but it does have track 14 as Aqualung. Track selection give it a 4 Music quality give it a 3 due to issue with sacd player not seeing disc as stereo when it is. And on MC setting plays but sounds low and muffled overall I'll give it a 3

Perhaps people is wondering why this release have reviews moving from 4.5 to 3 stars. It depends on your base for analysis. If you compare the songs included in this collection with the various red book versions of the same songs I will agree that there is probably some improvement in the quality of sound of some of the tracks. But if you compare with the other SACD versions available, I can say that, without a doubt, this disc is a failure.

"Smoke on the water" is a tremendous disappointment when compare with the already available version in the amazing sounding Machine Head SACD from EMI.

There is no way to compare the hyper flat sound of "Spill the wine" with the good sounding version of the same piece in The Animals anthology.

Analogue Productions' Light my fire (The Doors: The Doors) is the worst sounding SACD of The Doors 6-album catalog on SACD, but the version in Legends: Get it on, it's still worst.

Foreigner's Hot Blooded lacks the dynamics and the full, rich and detailed sound we can found in the Mobile Fidelity edition.

If you do not own the versions I mentioned, perhaps you can enjoy this disc. This is a souvenir and not a good example of good SACD sound.
