If you are a lover of blues music....especially older recordings of great bluesmen......this is the disc for you. Its not as dark as lets say Muddy Waters, more optimistic to be sure......this is a great album.

This is pure, genuine blues that gets you in the gut and a great album all told. So much of this album is a tad quiet with lots of harmonica, very intimate. He's also joined by guitar and drums as well on many tracks. Its laid back but gorgeous music and a tremendous recording.

This is a fantastic low level recording that must be absolutely cranked to listen to. This recording and Dsd transfer can be essentially summed up with one word. Natural. The total sound is delicate and organic. Simply superb sound. Sonny's voice is spot on with great presence. Its all good.

An essential blues album from days gone by. Sonny Boy Williamson died shortly thereafter but this disc is a testament to his work.
Excellent job Mr. Gray
