One of the best choral records I've heard so far!
Ex Cathedra, lead by Jeffrey Skidmore, presented one great exploration of Latin American Baroque and the music of Juan de Araujo. This is the first album I'd had featuring this kind of music, and I must say, this is awesome. The choir's astounding vocals made this one energetic and stylish recording. The accompaniments are good too, the percussions in the Hanacpachap cussicuinin sound fine.
Of all the 14 tracks, my favourite would be "¡A, del cielo!". The calm mood of the song is very much appealing to me, and it makes a good contrast to most of the tracks in this album.
I am not much of a fan of choral music, but by listening to this, I think I am now.
