I Like this Fidelio and i found that Davis did a good job. (My only comparison is with a vinyl years 70 directed by Karajan .... great Fidelio). The singers, considering the actual standard, play well and everything is well amalgamated.
The sound is, imho, really good ... a bit "dry", otherwise perfect. (tested only on stereo equipment). From this point of view this sacd could be purchased without thinking twice.
