The best shirt ever (?) captured on a cover :-). This disc swings like crazy. It's a guitar album full of straight ahead jazz tunes. I do not think sonically there are any criticisms to be had on this recording. Full bodied driving bass, direct and tuneful electric jazz guitar (two of them), tasteful drumming and spacious soundstaging. Just how I like it.

Japanese label Three Blind Mice is well know for its wonderful sound. The Swing Journal awarded this recording a 'Best Engineering Award' in 2007.

Shoji Yokouchi (Right channel) has a wonderfully fat tone and Toru Konishi (Left channel) is very rythmic as his partner. This album is funky, happy and upbeat and with some blues thrown in for good measure.

7 tracks, 3 originals by Mr. Yokouchi and a John Lewis (2 East 3 West), a Jimmy Sherman (Lover Man) and a Hammerstein tune (Softly as in a morning sunrise). I like the 'Swinging on camel' track - these guys have a sense of humor :-)
