| This disc is a great positive surprise. I had never heard of this trio before, but found some audioclips on the net to check-out the music before buying. Leslie Pintchik is a very competent composer and jazz-pianist. The trio plays with depth and variation. Definitely one of my favorite discs from a musical point of view. Sound it excellent too and may be among the most natural I have ever heard. Listened to in both stereo and multichannel, and as usual multichannel is more detailed, has more precise soundstage and seems to have an extended frequency range - especially towards the low end. The multichannel mix is just right, using all three front-speakers evenly and making the use of rear-channels optional. My highest recommendations...
