This disc is just fabilous. Both music and performans are great.
Sound quality is clearly superior to XRCD version.
I'm having great fun to listen to it.

Sonically this SACD disc is just superb! The instruments are recorded like the real ones are playing in front of you. Can't believe the recording is done 20+ years ago.
For the music, I found it is quite relaxing, but may be too slow for some people.

This is superb music brillantly performed, so good that I have bought two further two Yamamoto disc since then. And the sonics on this recording are also superlative. The musical style seems to be a modern version of the Theophilous Monk/Bill Evans school. One of the best recordings of modern jazz that I have come across lately.

Today i had my first "contact" with this masterpiece of Jazzmusic. I must say this is absolutly the best i have ever heard in Trio Jazz. Both in terms of music and sonic a milestone. I ordered the two other SACD directly after i heard Midnight sugar three times. Wow!!!!
