Performance:  Sonics:
WOW. This is Rossini, Auber and Berlioz done right. Just listen to Overture to La scala di seta (The Silken Ladder) and Overture to L'italiana in Algeri (The Italian Girl in Algiers). Szell is in top form and the performance of the Cleveland Orchestra is, as it always was with Szell, outstanding. Szell captures the emotional content of Rossini as few are capable. The sound of this recording on SACD is exactly what SACD is about, full spectrum, wide sound stage, and micro dynamic contrasts that bring out the essence of the composition and the emotion of the music. Five stars!

Performance:  Sonics:
SOUND GREAT! The quality of the 50´s players is insurmountable. And in the other hand the sound of this fabuluos performed overtures are full detailed, really dinamic and analog like. You can feel the music. There is another example of remastering a master tape preserving the full resolution (without aply signal procesing, analog master recorder to DSD capable ADC and encoding directly this dsd data in the sacd... Recomended.
