Performance:   Sonics:
A surprising album, exploratory jazz on a true surround recording (vocals from 1 channel only, usually female in the center, sometimes female on the left and male on the right, and instruments left and right, hall echo from the surrounds). More alive than other popular female jazz artists on a piano, this album brings some freshness into this area. Recommended.

Performance:   Sonics:
C. Henderson vcl, J. Nordenström p, & B3 & Melotron, N. Munch-Hansen b, A. Christensen b, K. Osgood ds & per & vib, L. Thomas vcl, K. Menzer harm, L. Nika acc, J. Fischer g, Stunt 2003.
Fifteen songs, some of them well known jazz standards, some rather unknown, two originals, one traditional. All songs are performed as very peculiar, surprising interpretations, grooving, thrillingly arranged, e.g. The Wee Small Hours, each one grabbing your attention immediately. Henderson has got a pleasing a bit a hoarse voice and a thrifty way of singing, sometimes rather whispering, but very exciting, anyway. I like that. Her version of Lazy Afternoon is close second to Shirley Horn`s on the LP with the same name. On the other end there is the rocking Wade In The Water with driving rhythm, but most tracks are ballads. The sound is very good, rich of colour, good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments to breath, dynamic, brilliant.
