1974/ 10 tracks/ 36 minutes

Pop. R and B and soul is what this disc is about.

I am very impressed with this sacd. Labelle, Dash and Hendryx can really bring a cut to life and their vocal skills are superb. There is a lot of soul and rhythm on this album with perhaps the greatest rendition of Lady Marmalade ever recorded.

This album has great groove and heart. If you are a fan of vocal skills look no further. I have to highlight the vocals on this disc as the reason for the success of said album. Yes the band is very solid too.

The sound on this new sacd is full bodied and robust. There is warmth, very nice treble and good sound stage. This sacd is much better then I would have believed. The instruments have clarity, the cymbals on the drums stand out. Low end is very respectable and solid. All in all a very enjoyable sounding sacd from start to finish.

This sacd will make your toes tap non stop. There are also very beautifully rendered slow songs as well.

Four and a quarter stars for sound quality.

Crank the volume.
Highly recommended and a good job by Kevin Gray.

This is another very pleasing quadraphonic SACD from Audio Fidelity. I remember listening to Lady Marmalade back in the mid 1970s. It was good then, but now in 4.0 it sounds superb. The sound is warm and pleasant to listen to. An "aggressive" mix with plenty going on in the rear channels.

Never having heard the remaining tracks before I didn't know what to expect, but they are all every bit as good as Lady Marmalade. In particular the title track is very much to my liking.

An easy five stars for multichannel sonics. I wouldn't know what the stereo program sounds like.
