I would classify this album as progressive jazz which sometimes gets a little 'out there'. I enjoyed the content on about half the tracks on this SACD. The soundstage sounds a bit compressed to me and the lead vocals too closely miked. But there are some tracks on this SACD that are convincing both musically and sonically.

This is the best recorded performance of the 9th Symphony I've heard sonically - the Adagio is particularly beautiful. There are two great compositions on this album and I enjoy listening to them both. This is a Telarc Soundstream and although the sound is good it still sounds a bit compressed and sometimes strident to me, particularly the strings as is the case with most RBCD's.
