Oh dear..! Already owning and loving several other classic Bowie albums mixed into 5.1 (admittedly all on the "other format"... sshhh we don't talk about those dvd "things" here!) I was really looking forward to this one dropping on my doormat!

I'm unsure as to whether previous contributors here have reviewed the Stereo layer or the M/C mix of this particular SACD edition?
Seeing as all bar one here don't specify, it is my own feeling that I must disagree with the general indifference that this disc has been greeted with on here, I love ... more |

Well, what a pleasant surprise!
I am not a fan or follower of Mr. Knopfler by any stretch of the imagination and to be perfectly honest I could never really stomach much of Dire Straits' musical output.

Let me start by confessing from the outset my review may be a bit biased here as I totally LOVE The Isley Brothers! This album is simply awesome and the Multi-Channel SACD mix does justice to what is, for me, one of the finest records of all-time.

Oh.. My.. Word!! This is one hell of a discrete mix! Those quadraphonic engineers back in the '70's must have had a ball panning all the sounds around at the time as the acoustic gymnastics go through the roof here!
