I agree with the good things written about the disc. One of my favorite tracks is Straighten Up and Fly Right. I agree with all the very positive reviews I read here. Junior Well is certainly one of the greats of blues and this disc puts his right in the room with you. I was astounded by the lineup of whos whos of blues who contributed. The sonics are right up there with the best and I have played it many ... more |

This is an amazing, wonderful SACD which easily tops everything else I have in terms of sonics. I realize now that Karens voice was masterful and this certainly adds to the disc tremendously but I can't think of anything I have that sounds so crisp, clean, and real. Kind of a crossover country pop. Thoughtful lyrics. Good melodies. Very good mix and sonics. What more could you ask for. Nice for a change. Also, Mary has a beautiful and distintive voice. Gets a little meloncholy sometimes but not a deal breaker. I give it two thumbs up. |

Its a great album but what poor job making an SACD of it. I'm so sorry that I can't recommend this as I'm a big fan. I couldn't wait to get home and listen and it was a real disappointment.
