This disc is a lot of fun! The programme is varied, the execution is dynamic, the recording is excellent, and I love the multi-channel mix. The combination of pianos and percussion works perfectly. And the William Tell gallops along in style. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm don't know what to make of this disc. Presentation is unusual - a DVD sized digipak. The multi-channel sound makes full use of the rear speakers for ambiance, and a lot of it. The programme begins with J.S. Bach BWV 564 Toccata, Adagio and Fugue. There seems to be a lot of bass swirling ... more

It is not every day that you get a chance to listen to a 230 year old instrument! This disc is very, very interesting. I love the sound of the Vis-à-vis, a wonderful combination of harpsichord and piano. Different, but very listenable indeed and very much worthy of purchase...

Wow! This disc is remarkable. The sound that Paul Van Zelm gets from the natural horn is gorgeous. I've heard these works numerous times before - I think that the final Allegro from K447 was the theme music to a British television programme back in the late 50s - but I've never heard them sound ... more
