There is very little to add to the great reviews below, but just want to second what has already been said. The Kolacny brothers truly play as one. I am surprised to be the first person to review/recommend this album, considering it received a glowing review and a 10/10 rating by Mr. Hurwitz over at classicstoday.com back in April. I am pleased with the purchase and can give a strong recommendation to anyone interested in this album.

Being a huge Perahia fan (based on his Bach albums) and an admirer of the Chopin Etudes, buying this disc was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, this has been one of the few disappointing SACD's I have bought. I will let it sit on the shelf for a while, re-audition it from time to time, and hope to like ... more |
