Sorry but I don't get this.
Take an average pensioner off the street and ask them to sing in a studio. That's what I get.
Production is cheesy.
Wish I could be more positive I have really tried to like this SACD since it was released. |

Wish You Were Here is essentially a Gilmour album and SACD was always going to make the sound more theatrical.

Agree with the last but one review. I would go further and say that the opening track feels like my ear drums are being attacked with broken bottles.
I want to enjoy this but cannot listen to it all the way through. I think the bass and mids are there but are drowned by a boost in the top ... more |

I am not going to add significantly to what has already been said.
This is just to say that I also have the original and I really wondered what all the fuss was about with this album. It just sounded sterile and uninvolving.
