Very listenable recording - especially the cello solo's. I didn't particularly like the way the trumpets sounded - overall a little bright for my tastes. |

Kudos to Steve Hoffman for this stunningly good reissue. Unlike the previous Mobile Fidelity reissue (UDCD 566) on CD, Hoffman has gone back to the original session tapes and replaced the electronically rechanneld from mono to stereo tracks with their original mono ones; the tracks that were ... more |

I'm 50-something in age, and have always liked Donovan--so I might be biased. I love this SACD. All his best on one SACD and produced with 5-star quality. If you like Bob Dylan, you should like Donovan.

This SACD is not as good as Macleod's first album "Whose Truth, Who's Lies". But it is very good Blues music and another reference SACD. |
