I find this a great disc that more than lives up to what I had anticipated and, I've been waiting for this release (along with other Dylan titles) for quite some time. This SACD (whoops, I mean "SA-CD") sounds great. As with most of the other Dylan MCHs I've heard, don't expect the same degree of sound in your surrounds as you get in Beck's "Sea Change" or "DSOTM." The Performance is Classic. However the recording is sub par in my boof. Having said that I think its a must own for fans of the Byrds. Its hallmark stuf in terms of the early California folk rock sound that spawned The Eagles and others. |
