Great latin jazz disc, heavy on percussion and light on brass. This is a classic disc. Surround mix feature specific instruments in each channel. You get your moneys worth on this on as far as the running time. Conga kings. |

Interesting and highly enjoyable jazz guitar duo joined by bass and drums. Live gig. Good sound. Rear channels in MCH dedicated to ambience, echo, reverb, audience and not much else. Guitar jazz in a similar style of Barney Kessel, Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery. Short running time. |

What a pleasant surprise it was to see Talk Talk on the upcoming releases from EMI. Mark Hollis and his mates, originally recruited by EMI to be the next Duran Duran, churned out some amazing albums. I am happy to write that their albums have never sounded better.

Excellent stuff. Not Brown's best, but since Brown WAS the best any just about any recording date of his was still better than the rest. Excellent sound quality on this SACD.
BTW - Brown was 75 when he died. Not 82. |
