Truly one of the best performances of the Manfred I have heard in some time. The individual instruments are wonderfully caught and Kobayashi does a good job of controlling the raging emotions found in this music. Quite expensive, though. About $45-50 for just this one SACD.

The SACD transfer of this disk is soft and kinda muddy. I think the tape shows its age and was not well cared for. Compared to the original vinyl this SACD has no chance. |
