This is an ok album nothing special. I bought it on sale and it's worth the 10 Euro I paid for it, would never have bought it full price. |

I've always liked Janis and have two LPs and several of her CDs, but for some reason, never bought this one.
I can understand why this CD was so popular. I have the Essential Janis CD which is very well recorded. The Cheap Thrills SACD is superior.

The material in this album is a bit, well...glib, in comparison to earlier Peter Gabriel efforts. It is akin to a person who goes from being an Angry Young Man to becoming a father, and he suddenly sees the joy and wisdom in communication and togetherness.
