Nice enough, but I wish she would make an album
of swinging big band style music instead of all the
"sugar-coated" ballads. Saying that Cole's chops are
outstanding compared to the hord of other singers who
claim to be "jazz-singers"!

Another classic from Miles.
A demanding listen for some - maybe, with it's ultra long
tracks.
With 3 keyboardists, 1 guitar player, one saxophonist plus drums
and bass and not forgetting Miles, it is almost a "big" band,
but the playing is - as the title suggests - very slow and intimate.

Bought this album just to have another SACD surround disc, and
expecting that the sound would be a little harsh, as that was my
experience with other SACD's like Journey Greatest Hits (although not 5.1)

I have been a Spyro Gyra fan for more than 20 years and they are a fantastic
band who grows on you for every new CD and that they are now doing SACD and in
surround makes the experience even better, as you can hear what a special band

As I understand, this is one of the first high resolution CD's of this label. Britten was mastered from 16/44 (info from discs cover). Dispite this, the sonic is increadibly analog like!
