As a long time fan of the Santana "Trilogy" I love this album. But, (flog me with wet noodles if you will) I find that the SACD, while the best digital incarnation that I have heard so far, is lacking a bit of weight and presence that I have experienced with this recording in the past.

This is a hard one for me. After a few listenings I find it a bit of a chore. It's one of these recordings that is "almost there" on every level. Respectably disagree with "pann". I love her interpretation: added texture, some mannerism. Typical mutter!. Sound is good to very good. Certainly its a keeper!!! |
