The music is certainly not my cup of tea, and I don't think this disk benefits greatly, if at all from being on SACD, and certainly not from being multi-channel, given that it is just two instruments playing infront of you, neither of which require high-resolution to reproduce their sound.

I will only comment on the recording quality. If your idea of nirvana is to listen to an orchestra from the first row and your idea of a successful sound engineering job is to push the recording level right up to the threshold of distortion you will like this recording. SONICS

Hardly a household name but another suprisingly excellent disc from Dacaopo.The varied works and the Opening Ballet Benzin,Petrol in English or Gasoline west of the pond.(GAS is something totally different in the English Dictionary.)
