Could not agree less than with the above comment from swestbom.A beautiful performance and recording fully deserving of the accolades it has won.If you experience any distortion then you should look at your playback equipment.The recording is nigh on perfect-close to provide impact but with plenty ... more |

The 2L label certainly has its mojo, DXD, working for it – but it also has freakishly good talents on-tap. If every SACD were this good I’d have to mortgage the farm. With most discs I can’t remember whether I liked them or not – I liked this disc instantly and so much so that I can’t wait to sing ... more |

The music is certainly not my cup of tea, and I don't think this disk benefits greatly, if at all from being on SACD, and certainly not from being multi-channel, given that it is just two instruments playing infront of you, neither of which require high-resolution to reproduce their sound.

If your idea of nirvana is to listen to an orchestra from the first row and your idea of a successful sound engineering job is to push the recording level right up to the threshold of distortion you will like this recording.
